Wayfinding people actually read
A generic map screenshot buried in a program booklet gets ignored. A styled, simplified map — showing only what a guest or runner actually needs — gets used.
Draw the route or venue layout
Trace a race or walk route with the Polyline tool, drop Markers for parking, aid stations, or entrances, and add Text labels for street names or mile markers — all from the Overlay tab.
Simplify the basemap around it
Turn off whatever doesn’t help — minor roads, points of interest, transit — from the Style tree, so the route or venue markers are the obvious focal point instead of competing with map clutter.
Export for the format you need
A free PNG covers a digital program or website. For a printed booklet or race-bib insert, "For print" export prices by scale and DPI, or export SVG if a printer needs a true vector file.
Or publish it as a live map
Publish (top bar) turns the same map into a shareable link or embeddable iframe with its own Analytics — daily views and per-marker clicks — useful for an event’s own webpage in addition to, or instead of, printed materials.
